Bulldog Volleyball Falls to (RV) MSU-Northern in Four Sets

HAVRE, Mont. – The Montana Western volleyball team (13-15, 11-10 FC) was upended by (RV) MSU-Northern (16-11, 14-7 FC) in four sets (25-22, 19-25, 20-25, 17-25) Thursday evening in Havre.

NOTABLES
UMW recorded over 90 digs for the fourth straight game.

Three Bulldogs reached double figures in kills.

Four players tallied double-digit digs.

MATCH SUMMARY
Western struck first in the match, pulling away at the end of the opening set to take the 1-0 lead. The hosts responded in set two, stalling the Western offense to even the score. The Skylights took the lead with a 25-20 frame three victory, and sealed the deal with an eight-point win in the fourth set.

LEADERBOARD

Averi Look led the Bulldogs with 12 kills while Kennedy Lingenfelter (11) and Dani Brown (10) were also in double figures.
Taylor Ketchum tallied a team-high 27 digs.
Megan Hardman led the team in assists (26) and shared the team-high in aces with two.
Jayda Ward shared the team-high in aces (two).
Olivia Rosborough earned a team-high 3.0 blocks.

SPLIT BOX
Montana Western held the statistical advantage in kills (50-48) and assists (50-47), but were outdone in aces (5-6), blocks (4-11), and digs (91-95).
