Western Volleyball Clipped by #1 Providence 3-0 Friday

GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The Montana Western volleyball team (13-16, 11-11 FC) fell to #1 Providence (27-2, 20-1 FC) Friday in the final match of the 2025 regular season.
 
"We are looking forward to the conference tournament next week and taking everything we have learned this regular season and putting it into action," head coach Katie Lovett said.
 
NOTABLES
Hardman registered over 20 assists for the fifth straight match
 
11 Bulldogs earned a dig in the match.
 
Three players hit .250 or better: Olivia Rosborough (.333), Maxine Hoagland (.267), and Antonia Duncan (.250).
 
MATCH SUMMARY
Western kept it close through most of the opening set, but the Argos went on a seven to three run to close out the first and take the lead, 25-18. In the second frame, the hosts jumped out to an early lead and the Bulldogs couldn't close the gap, resulting in UP taking another 25-18 set win. Providence overpowered UMW in the final set 25-11 to complete the sweep.

UMW was outperformed by UP in kills (37-44), assists (36-43), digs (45-50), blocks (1-6), and aces (0-7).
