HELENA, Mont. – Montana Western men's basketball player
Kyle Gruhler earned his fourth Erck Hotels/ Frontier Conference Men's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week award of the campaign, the
conference office announced Monday.
Gruhler led the Bulldogs to another 2-0 weekend in conference, defeating Valley City State 89-79 and Mayville State 91-69.
The senior averaged 28.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists on the weekend.
He shot 69.0 percent from the field (20-29), 68.4 percent from beyond the arc (13-19), and made all three free throw attempts over the two contests.
The Vancouver, Wash., native led all players in scoring in both outings, dropping 24 against the Vikings and a career-high matching 32 points against the Comets. He has registered 30 or more points in four games this year.
Gruhler went 4-4 from distance against VCSU and drained a career-high nine threes against MSU.
