WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
The Montana Western Bulldogs women’s basketball team (7-20) closed regular season conference play last week unable to secure a win. On Thursday they traveled up to Butte, Mont. to take on the RV Montana Tech Orediggers, resulting in an 80-67 loss. The Bulldogs were led in scoring by Isabella Lund and Keke Davis, both scoring 16 points. On Saturday the Bulldogs played their last home game of the season in the Straugh Gymnasium against RV Rocky Mountain College. Despite their efforts the game ended in a close 84-81 loss. Trinidie Nichols led the Bulldogs with a career-high performance, knocking down seven three-pointers (7-10) and finishing with 34 points on 13-21 shooting from the field. The Bulldogs will now prepare for the Frontier Conference Tournament, set to take place at the Four Seasons Arena in Great Falls, Mont. on Sunday, March 2. They will face No. 19 Carroll College at 3 p.m.
