Kyle Gruhler Named to Bevo Francis Top 100 Watch List

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Montana Western men's basketball player Kyle Gruhler was named to the Small College Basketball's Bevo Francis Award Top 100 Watch List, the organization announced Thursday.
 
The Clarence "Bevo" Francis Award is presented annually to the player who has had the finest overall season within Small College Basketball. Considerations are season statistics, individual achievements, awards, personal character and team achievements. 
 
Only one player in all of Small College Basketball receives the award per season.
 
Gruhler is averaging 23.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.9 assists in his senior season. He is shooting 54.5 percent from the floor, 54.5 percent from downtown, and 84.3 percent from the foul line.
 
He has racked up 12 games with 20 or more points and four with at least 30. He has drained three or more three-pointers in 14 games this season, including a career-high nine made threes against Mayville State.
 
The Vancouver, Wash., native has been named Frontier Conference Men's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week on six occasions.
