Story of the Day
The University of Montana Western Bulldogs fell to the Eastern Oregon University Mountaineers 71-67 it a tightly contested game in the Taco Bell Shootout in Caldwell, Idaho. The game saw 13 ties and 15 lead changes, before EOU prevailed late. The game saw frequent whistles and a parade to the charity stripe. The Bulldogs shot just 62 percent from the line in a game that came down to the final possession.  

Stars of the Game
Kooper Kidgell scored 18 points, grabbed four rebounds, three assists, and three steals. Kidgell surpassed 1000 points for his career.
Troy Scott almost had a double-double with nine points and 10 rebounds. 
Cedric Boone had 12 points and four rebounds. 

Stat of the Game
The Bulldogs and Mountaineers combined for 57 fouls and 74 free-throw attempts. 
The Bulldogs shot just 34 percent from the floor and 19 percent from beyond the arc. 

The Bulldogs So Far
The Bulldogs drop to 3-1 on the season, while the Mountaineers improved to 4-6.
