Story of the Day
The University of Montana Western Bulldogs dropped a close game to Thompson Rivers University 65-64. After a slow start offensively the Bulldogs started to warm up, taking an eight point lead into the break. After trading baskets early in the second half, the Bulldogs held a nine point lead with 14:40 remaining in the game. The Bulldogs only scored two baskets over the next eight minutes, allowing the Wolfpack to take the lead and hold on over the final six minutes to secure the victory.  

Stars of the Game
Jaycob Payne recorded his first double-double of the season scoring 12 points and pulling down 10 rebounds. 
Kooper Kidgell scored 18 points.

TRu dominated the paint, outscoring the Bulldogs 28-16

The Bulldogs drop to 5-6 overall. TRU improves to 7-8. 

Up Next
The Bulldogs are off until Dec. 28 when they travel to Billings, Mont. to play in the Green and Gold Classic. They will play Dickinson State on Dec. 28 and The King's University on Dec. 29. Both games will be played in the Fortin Center and will tip-off at 3:30 p.m.
