Story of the Day
The University of Montana Western Bulldogs fell 78-67 to the Dickinson State University Blue Hawks Friday afternoon in Billings, Mont. The Bulldogs started quickly, building a 10-point lead midway through the opening quarter. The Bulldogs then struggled to score, scoring just three-points over the final 7:47 of the first-half, trailing DSU by eight at the intermission. The teams battled during the opening four minutes of the second-half, but the Blue Hawks were able to build the lead up to 17 points midway through the half. The Bulldogs tried to mount a comeback, cutting the Blue Hawk lead to 10 with just over five minutes remaining in the game. However, the Blue Hawks quickly built the lead back to 18 points and held on for the 11 point win.

Kooper Kidgell had a game-high 23 points, five assists, and three rebounds. 
Troy Scott scored 13 points, six rebounds, and an assist.

The Blue Hawks had five players score in double-figures, and shot 68 percent from the floor in the second half.

The Bulldogs drop to 5-7 while the Blue Hawks improve to 4-7.
