Four Bulldogs Named Daktronics Scholar-Athletes

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced that 341 men's track & field student-athletes and 516 women's track & field student-athletes have been named 2019 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.

Four student-athletes from the University of Montana Western received the honor: Josh Jessop, Mindy Kaufman, Russell Kujala, and Tanner Lehr

Jessop received the award for the first time, while Kaufman, Kujala, and Lehr each were named for the second time. 

In order to be nominated by an institution, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify for this honor.
