Stanley Stremick Named Frontier Men’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week

HELENA, Mont. – Bulldog track and field athlete Stanley Stremick picked up Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week honors, the league office announced Tuesday.

"I think it is a great achievement for Stan," head coach Taylor Grove said. "It was great to see him jump over 22 feet twice in the long jump this last meet. He has had strong performances all season in both long and triple jump and has stayed consistent. I think he definitely has potential to score points in both at conference."

Stremick placed fourth out of 18 DI, DII, and NAIA competitors in the men's long jump. He posted a 6.84m (22-5.25) leap and was the top NAIA finisher in the event.

He also earned an eighth-place finish in the men's triple jump with a 12.77m (41-10.75) in the men's triple jump.

In his first outdoor season with the Bulldogs, Stremick has posted top-five finishes in the long jump in five out of six meets. Additionally, he has placed in the top five twice in the triple jump and once in the high jump.

LOOKING AHEAD
The Bulldogs head to Dickinson, N.D., May 2-3 for the Frontier Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
