MARION, Ind. – Taya Brewer finished up the outdoor track & field season by representing Montana Western at the NAIA Outdoor National Championships in Marion, Ind.
Brewer qualified to compete in the Women's 10,000m after she ran a personal record of 37:55.71 after the altitude conversion at the Tom Gage Invite on May 6.
This evening, Brewer ran in the Women's 10,000m Final and finished in 32nd with a time of 39:19.90. This was Brewer's first trip to an NAIA National Championship meet.
"Taya had a tough day. I am proud of the season she had and it is great to get the experience at the national meet. I am sure this will fuel the fire for the future. She is a tough competitor and she had an off day." Head Coach
