Lingenfelter and Hardman Earn All-Conference Recognition, Pospisil Named Champion of Character

HELENA, Mont. – Montana Western Volleyball players Kennedy Lingenfelter and Megan Hardman received Frontier Conference Volleyball All-Conference honors and Kara Pospisil earned the Champion of Character award, the league office announced Monday.

Lingenfelter picked up Second Team All-Conference recognition and Hardman was tabbed an Honorable Mention.

"We are very proud of Kennedy and Megan getting recognized for all-conference," head coach Katie Lovett said. "They have worked really hard all season and are very deserving of the award."

Lingenfelter made waves in her debut season with the Bulldogs, finishing the regular-season as the team-leader in kills (237), hitting percentage (.270), and total blocks (99.0).

The Clovis, Calif., native reached double figures in kills in 11 matches and hit over .300 on 14 occasions. She averaged 3.4 blocks per game, tallying four or more blocks on eight outings. She also earned 41 digs, seven service aces, and three assists.

Hardman skillfully coordinated the UMW offense this season with 479 assists (5.10 assists/set). She also led the team with 29 service aces on the year. She also got busy defensively with 212 digs (2.26 digs/set), good enough for fifth on the team.

The senior from American Fork, Utah reached a major milestone in her final season with the Bulldogs, surpassing the 2,000 career assists mark against Bismarck State (9/13/25). She earned 11 double-doubles on the season.

Pospisil was named the Champion of Character for Western. The head coach from each Frontier Conference member selects the recipient that fits to the NAIA's Champions of Character initiative program's five cores that include integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership. The mission of the NAIA's Champions of Character program is to provide training to instill the values that build character so that students, coaches, and parents know, do, and value the right thing on and off the field.

"Kara is a coaches dream athlete," Lovett said. "She works extremely hard, always puts the team first, and lights up practice everyday. She is an easy person to celebrate for the Champion of Character award."
