POCATELLO, Idaho – Western Track and Field athlete
Tyler Raine made the podium with a third-place finish in the 60H as the Bulldogs wrapped up action at the ISU Winter Open Friday.
"It was great to give a few people the chance to compete before winter break," head coach
Taylor Grove said. "Tyler was able to PR in the 60m hurdles and Layne was able to get a good first mark for the shot put. Excited for January when we get the whole team competing!"
Raine ran a personal-best 8.73 in the men's 60H to secure the bronze.
Jocelyn Seefried clocked an 8.83 in the women's 60m, finishing 10
th.
Layne Cooney finished in the top 10 in his season debut for the Bulldogs, launching a 12.53m (41.01.5) to take eighth in the men's shot put.
LOOKING AHEAD
Western's Indoor Track and Field season continues in the new year as the Bulldogs head to the Snake River Open in Pocatello, Idaho Jan 15-16.
