IN CASE YOU MISSED IT…
UMW battled hard but came up short in a 68-54 loss to #25 Montana Tech. The Bulldogs shot 31.1 percent (19-61) from the field, 34.6 percent (9-26) from deep, and 70.0 percent (7-10) from the foul line. They tallied 37 rebounds, 13 assists, nine steals, and eight block in the contest.
Isabella Lund led the team with 24 points followed by
Bailee Sayler with 12.
Keke Davis grabbed a team-best seven rebounds.
Kyle Pancost tied for the game-high with three assists while
Ava Bellach swatted a game-best tying three blocks. Four players earned two steals apiece.
THE PACK PERSPECTIVE
The Bulldogs are averaging 68.0 points, 36.4 rebounds, and 14.3 assists per game through seven games. They are shooting 42.3 percent from the floor, 38.5 percent from beyond the arc, and 68.5 percent from the foul line. Additionally, UMW has earned 7.4 steals and 3.1 blocks per game.
Two Bulldogs are putting up double figures in scoring;

Kyle Pancost pulls down a team-best 6.6 rebounds per game while Lund dishes out a team-high 3.7 assists. Lund also tops the team in steals (1.6) while Sayler swats 1.4 blocks per game. Sayler paces the team in both field-goal percentage (52.5) and three-point percentage (60.0). Lund is hitting a team-best 77.1 percent from the charity stripe.

In addition to seven new players, Western women's basketball also has a new coaching staff. First-year head Coach
Ryan Sullivan takes the helm after an accomplished stint at Sheridan High School in Sheridan, Wyoming. Sullivan brought
Wes Knox on board to serve as assistant coach.

As a team, Western is sixth in the nation in three-point percentage (38.5) and 28th in three-pointers made per game (8.6). Individually,
Bailee Sayler ranks sixth in the NAIA in three-point percentage (60.0).
