The Montana Western track and field team showcased their talents at Montana State University’s Bobcat Performance Meet this past Friday. Wade Dahood achieved a personal best of 9.32 in the 60m hurdles and secured ninth place in the long jump with a mark of 5.70m. In the 800m, Brody Henry finished 10th with a time of 2:07.17, while Bridger Wheeler set a personal best of 2:21.46. Olivia Canney also recorded a personal best in the women’s 800m, clocking in at 2:56.02. In the men’s mile, Harrison Silverio led the Bulldogs, placing ninth with a time of 4:49.58, followed by Henry at 5:00.16 and Wheeler, who achieved another personal best of 5:11.34. Justene Santi led the women’s mile with a time of 6:23.27, and Ruby Smith excelled in the women’s 3000m, finishing with a time of 12:04.72. Layne Cooney improved his shot-put mark, achieving a personal best of 13.53m. The Bulldogs will return to action on Friday, February 7, at the Stacy Dragila Invitational in the ICCU Dome on the campus of Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho.
