Bulldog Track and Field Wraps Up Action at Snake River Open

POCATELLO, Idaho– The Montana Westen Track and Field teams had a solid outing at the Snake River Open, hosted by Idaho State, Friday in Pocatello. Three Bulldogs earned personal records at the event.
 
"It was a good first meet back after break and just getting back in the swing of things with practice and work," head coach Taylor Grove said. "We had some people do really well. Tyler was able to make it to finals in the 60H and get fifth, and Wade also ran a PR in the 60H. Stan placed third in the triple jump and Luke was able to run a solid mile for his first race in a couple years. Kendalyn was able to get a PR in the shot. It will be great when we have more of our team up in Bozeman next week
 
Stanley Stremick leapt to the podium in the men's triple jump, finishing third with a mark of 12.64 (41-05.75) He also earned a ninth-place finish in the men's long jump with a 6.23m (20-05.25) mark.
 
Tyler Raine clocked a personal record of 8.65 in the men's 60H to take fifth in the finals after he ran an 8.76 in the prelims to snag the final qualifying spot. He also placed 16th in the men's 400m with a time of 54.52.
 
Wade Dahood ran a 9.05 personal best in the men's 60H prelims, placing ninth.
 
Uzzaiah Kanewa finished 22nd in the men's 60m prelims with a 7.31.
 
Jocelyn Seefried ran an 8.76 in the women's 60m prelims, placing 30th overall. She also posted a 30.62 in the women's 200m, finishing 34th.
 
Luke Crossley clocked a 2:03.73 in the men's 800, finishing 16th. He also ran a 4:31.26 in the men's mile to take 23rd.
 
Kendalyn Streck placed 18th in the women's shot put with a PR toss of 10.32m (33-10.25).
 
Layne Cooney launched a 12.97m (42-06.75) in the men's shot put to take 14th while Tad Tacked earned a 10.07m (33-00.50) mark in the event, placing 20th.
 
Michael Reistroffer ran a 10:32.11 in the men's 3000m for a 40th place finish.
 
LOOKING AHEAD
The Bulldogs take to the track again Jan. 30 when they travel to Bozeman, Mont., to take part in the Montana Tech Winter Series #1.
