Bulldog Track and Field Wraps Up Carignan Classic

BOZEMAN, Mont. – The Montana Western track and field teams finished competition at the Carignan Classic Friday, earning seven personal bests in the process.
 
On the track, Tyler Raine ran a personal best 8.61 in the men's 60H prelims. Wade Dahood also posted a PR with an 8.69 in the same event.
 
Luke Crossley placed 10th in the men's mile with a personal best time of 4:28.83. Michael Reistroffer clocked a 5:04.30 in the mile to finish 28th.
 
Olivia Heiner ran a 5:45.41 personal best in the women's mile, placing 21st. Justene Santi placed 23rd (6:11.06) and Kylie Wyatt finished 28th (7:58.92).
 
Haley Hodge clocked a 1:07.64 in the women's 400m, taking 17th.
 
In the men's 800m, Brody Henry placed 14th with a 2:00.32 season best. Crossley finished 20th (2:04.45), Tristan Von Bargen placed 28th (2:12.80), Resitroffer took 30th (2:15.92), and Bridger Wheeler finished 31st (2:17.04).
 
Harrison Silverio ran a 9:58.72 in the men's 3000m to place 21st while Cael Thilmony clocked a 10:27.33, finishing 26th.
 
Heiner (11:57.22) and Santi (11:58.30) finished 12th and 13th, respectively, in the women's 3000m. Santi's time marked a personal best in the event.
 
The men's 4x400m relay (Raine, Von Bargen, Crossley, Henry) placed eighth with a time of 3:37.06.
 
On the field, Raelynne Briere jumped to a PR of 4.40m (14-05.25) in the women's long jump to place 17th.
 
Stanley Stremick leapt 6.30m (20-08.00) in the men's long jump, finishing seventh, while Dahood earned a season-best 5.85m (19-02.50) for a 14th place finish.
 
Stremick placed eighth in the men's triple jump with a mark of 12.73m (41-09.25).
 
Layne Cooney tossed a 12.71m (41-08.50) in the men's shot put to place 21st. Justin Maier earned an 11.52m (37-09.50) personal best, finishing 24th.
 
Kendalyn Streck placed 26th in the women's shot put with a 10.49m (34-05.00) toss and Braden Kopp finished 29th with a 9.98m (32-09.00) PR.

LOOKING AHEAD
The Bulldogs will be back in Bozeman for the third straight week, competing in the Montana Tech Winter Series #2.
