Bulldog Track & Field Kicks Off Outdoor Season at Yellowjacket/ Battlin’ Bears Open

DILLON, Mont. – The UMW men's and women's track and field teams travel to Billings, Mont., Saturday to compete in the Yellowjacket/ Battlin' Bears Open. The meet is hosted by both MSU-Billings (NCAA DII) and Rocky Mountain (NAIA).

The meet gets started at 9 a.m. MT with the hammer throw. Track events are set to begin at 2 p.m. MT.

WHO'S WHO
24 Bulldogs will make the trip to Billings.

On the women's side, Brielle Davis (javelin, discus), Cassie Green (shot put, discus), Olivia Heiner (5000m), Haley Hodge (400m), Braden Kopp (shot put, discus, hammer throw), Justene Santi (5000m), Jocelyn Seefried (100m), Kendalyn Streck (shot put, discus), Ellie Stutsman (shot put, discus), and Kylee Wyatt (1500m) are set to compete.

For the men's team, Kreg Butler (1500m), Layne Cooney (shot put, discus, hammer throw), Brody Henry (800m, 1500m), Uzzaiah Kanewa (100m, 200m), Justin Maier (shot put, discus), Tyler Raine (110H, 400H), Michael Reistroffer (5000m), Noah Rovente (1500m), Stanley Stremick (long jump, triple jump), Tad Tackes (shot put, discus), Cael Thilmony (5000m), Jesse Vail (100m, 200m), Tristan Von Bargen (800m, 1500m), and Bridger Wheeler (800m) will see action.

MEET THE FIELD
Eight teams will compete in Billings, including MSU-Billings, Rocky Mountain, Bismarck State, Carroll, Central Wyoming, Dawson CC, Montana Tech, and Montana Western.
