Bulldog Track & Field Heads to Montana Tech Spring Series #1

DILLON, Mont. – The UMW men's and women's track and field teams are set to compete in the Montana Tech Spring Series #1 this weekend. The majority of the meet is being held Saturday at Charlie Merrifield Track in Butte, Mont. The men's and women's hammer throw and men's and women's discus will take place Friday in Great Falls, Mont.

Friday's throwing events are set to start at 2 p.m. MT with the women's hammer throw.

Saturday's running events get started at 11 a.m. MT with the women's 5000m while the field events begin at 12 p.m. MT with the women's javelin.

26 Bulldogs will make the trip.

On the women's side, Brielle Davis (javelin, discus), Cassie Green (shot put), Olivia Heiner (1500m), Haley Hodge (400H), Braden Kopp (hammer throw, shot put, discus), Justene Santi (1500, 400H), Kendalyn Streck (shot put, discus), Ellie Stutsman (shot put, discus), and Kylee Wyatt (1500m) are set to compete.

For the men's team, Kreg Butler (1500m), Layne Cooney (shot put, discus, hammer throw), Luke Crossley (1500m, 800m), Wade Dahood (110H, long jump), Brody Henry (800m), Uzzaiah Kanewa (100m, 200m), Mason Lynch (1500m), Justin Maier (shot put, discus), Tyler Raine (110H, 400H), Michael Reistroffer (800m, 1500m), Noah Rovente (1500m), Stanley Stremick (long jump, triple jump), Tad Tackes (shot put, discus), Cael Thilmony (1500m), Tristan Von Bargen (800m), and Bridger Wheeler (800m) will see action.

MEET THE FIELD
Six teams will be competing in Butte, including Montana Tech, Carroll, MSU-Northern, Rocky Mountain, Providence, and Western.
