Madisyn Frazier Earns Frontier Conference Volleyball Defender of the Week

HELENA, Mont. – Montana Western's Madisyn Frazier picked up Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Women's Volleyball Defender of the Week honors, the league office announced Monday.

The award marks the first conference weekly honor of Frazier's career and makes her the first Bulldog to earn a Frontier Conference weekly award this season.

"Really excited to see Maddie be recognized for all of her hard work on the court," head coach Katie Lovett said. "She's a really gritty player and is a true Dawg in the backcourt."

Frazier anchored Western's defensive efforts with 7.71 digs per set over seven sets played (54 total digs).

The senior posted 21 digs (7.0 per set) in the Bulldogs' sweep over MSU-Northern while adding four assists and an ace.

The Kalispell, Mont., native followed that with a career-high 33 digs (8.25 digs per set) as Western pushed #8 Providence to four sets. She led the game in digs and tallied four assists and an ace.

She also recorded a .976 reception percentage on the weekend.
