William “Bill” Connors, a native of Butte, Mont., is a 1959 graduate of Western Montana College with a Bachelor of Science in secondary education with a major in mathematics and a minor in social studies.
Connors was a four-year baseball letterman for the Bulldogs with a career batting average of .480. He was a member of two Montana Collegiate Conference(MCC) baseball championships teams in 1958 and 1959. The 1958 championship was the first baseball title for the Bulldogs since 1940.
After graduation, he began his professional journey at Dutton, Mont. His Montana coaching and teaching career included stops at Billings Central, Butte High School and finally Glasgow High School.
While in Glasgow, Connors owned Dairy Queens in Glasgow and Malta and both were very successful businesses.
Connors was followed into the Bulldog Hall of Fame by his brother Dan in 1993, his nephew-in-law Rik Rewerts in 1992 and his grand nephew Nik Rewerts in 2022.
He passed away May 30, 1993.
