Ed Ferris, a native of Dillon, Mont., was a 1968 graduate of Western Montana College with a Bachelor of Science in secondary education. He transferred to Western from the University of Montana.

Ferris was a three-year letterman in football earning all-conference honors as a wingback. He was a member of the 1967 conference championship football team, the first conference football title under the newly re-branded Frontier Conference.

Ferris was active in M-Club and intramurals.

After graduation, Ferris taught and coached in Montana, Nevada and Oregon. He is now retired and living in Fallon, Nev.

He was inducted in the Hall of Fame with his older brother Dick in 2007.
