Bulldog Athletic Hall of Fame
Rice won the Frontier Conference 110 hurdles championship I three years in a row and qualified for the NAIA national finals. Rice shattered the Bulldog record and owned the conference mark in the 110 hurdles. Rice also competed on the Western basketball team for a time. On campus, Rice was Student Body President, Industrial Arts Club President and was named to the prestigious Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities. Rice graduated in 1973 and has since been coaching and teaching at Beaverhead County High School in Dillon where he lives with his wife, Sandy. “My most memorable experience in Bulldog athletics was being a member of the track team that captured the Frontier Conference Championship two years in a row,” said Rice.
