Jim Netz, a native of Hardin, Mont., is a 1964 graduate of Western Montana College (WMC) with a Bachelor of Science in secondary education.

Netz was a four-year football letterman for the Bulldogs and a two time all-conference selection at quarterback. He was a true option quarterback before it became common.

With Netz under center, the Bulldogs won conference titles in 1961, 1962 and 1963. During his career, he was ranked high in the NAIA in passing.

When not in practice or in the classroom, Netz was active in M-Club and served as vice-president his senior year. He also participated in intramurals and was selected to Who’s Who.

After a successful stint as a teacher and coach at Whitehall, Mont. he left education for a career with Josten’s, Inc.
