A four-year letterman at linebacker, Bill emerged as one of Western’s best-ever at that position. A strong, agile 225 pounder from Anaconda, he was a Bulldog leader from 1968-71 and, in his two final campaigns, was a first team selection to both the All-Frontier and All-NAIA District 12 units. After receiving his degree in 1972, Bill coached and taught at Superior High School before returning to Western as a graduate assistant football coach in 1978-79. He later served one year as principal at the Eagle, Alaska, School before rejoining the Superior High staff. In 1981 he was appointed to his current post as Superior’s superintendent of schools.
