Bulldog Athletic Hall of Fame
Cori Amos Chapman, a native of Selah, Wash., was a two-time first team all-conference setter for the Bulldogs. She graduated in 1996 with a degree in early childhood education.
Amos-Chapman was a member of the 1996 Bulldog conference co-championship team, the first volleyball conference champion in the history of the Bulldog volleyball program.
In the 1996 championship season, she led the conference in serving percentage. Amos-Chapman set a single season school record in assists (1,197). The record was set during the side-out scoring phase of collegiate volleyball. She will stay in the record books for the time period of 1978-2000.
In addition to her first-team all-conference honors, Chapman-Amos was also an all-region selection. She was the recipient of several Frontier Conference and Pacific Northwest Player of the Week awards.
Her coaches were Hall of Famers Jenny Peterson and Cindy Bennett. She and husband Mike are the parents of sons Carter and Grant.
