Ron Lehnerz, a native of Choteau, Mont, is a 1972 graduate of Western Montana College (WMC) with a Bachelor of Science in secondary education.

Lehnerz was a four-year Bulldog football letterman and a three-time all-conference selection. He was a member of the 1969 undefeated conference championship team.

After his senior season, he was ranked 10th in NAIA, Division II rushing with 110.8 yards rushing (4.7 yards per carry) per game. As a team, the Bulldogs were ranked sixth nationally in rushing with 280.8 yards per game.

In track, Lehnerz was a four-year letterman throwing the shot put and the discus. He was a member of three straight Frontier Conference and NAIA, District 5 championships.

He was active in M-Club throughout his WMC career.
