Is a 1994 graduate of Western with a degree in Secondary Education and is currently completing his Masters program. In his Bulldog career, Olson earned first team All-Conference his freshman through junior season. He was selected the Bulldog’s MVP and captain his junior and senior season. Olson was a preseason All-American pick in both his junior and senior season. One of his memorable moments is also beating Carroll 49-16 in 1990 and ending their five year conference winning streak. During his career, he played for Mick Dennehy, Mick Delaney and Bob Beers. His teammates include fellow inductees Manny Garza and Mike Cutler along with Frank Cassidy, Emmett Dougherty, Keith Hoyer, Clay Keller, Jason Sargent and Hall of Famer J.P. Gallagher to mention a few. After graduation from Western, Olson taught in Havre for six years. He was assistant football coach at Havre High School from 1994-1997 and head coach from 1998-2000. He moved to Idaho Falls, Idaho where he taught and was the head football coach at Bonneville High School from 2000-2003. He is currently teaching and is the head football coach at Rampart High School in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Dan and his wife Windy are the parents of one son, Tyler.
