Bulldog Athletic Hall of Fame
Charley, a native of Fallon, Nevada, a graduated from Western in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science in secondary Education. During his Bulldog career, he averaged 15 points and 14 rebounds per game. Coached by Hall of Famer Casey Keltz, Hall earned All-Conference and All-District honors after his sophomore, junior and senior seasons and added NAIA Honorable Mention All-America honors after his junior and senior seasons. Hall was the frontier Conference rebounding champ his sophomore and junior seasons and was named MVP of the Wayne Estes Tournament and the Frontier Conference Invitational hosted by Carrol College. Several of his college teammates are also in the Hall of Fame. They include Godfrey Saunders, Gary Jacobson and Clay Robinson. In addition to basketball, Hall also was a member of the Bulldog baseball team. After College, Hall was a Job corps counselor and taught high school at Reno. He picked up an Associate’s Degree in Hotel/Casino Management from UNLV and has since been involved in the gaming industry. Charley is currently the Gaming Supervisor at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
