Montana Western, University of

Heather Hart graduated from the University
of Montana Western in 1997 with a
Bachelor’s in secondary education health and physical education with a minor in
business education. With Lola Else as her
coach, Hart worked long hours in order
to be able to represent Montana Western
in the national finals. In 1994, she placed
third in barrel racing at the College National
Finals Rodeo.
Over the years, she earned numerous
buckles and championships including
the Northern Rodeo Association
Champion All-Around Cowgirl in 1995.
“Some of my most memorable athletic
moments at Montana Western aren’t the
successes surprisingly,” said Hart. “I worked
numerous long hours in and out of the
rodeo arena to become an outstanding
rodeo athlete. The windshield time
traveling with my teammates to college
rodeos are imprinted in my mind. The
stories, laughs, rodeo dust, flat trailer tires,
goats running away and cramming for
tests while on the road are things I will
never forget.”
