Jerry Selvig, a native of Thompson Falls, Mont., is 1962 graduate of Western Montana College (WMC) with a Bachelor of Science in secondary education.

Selvig was four year basketball letterman for the Bulldogs and a three-time all-conference selection. He was a second team selection after his sophomore year and a first team selection after his junior and senior seasons.

He played on the Bulldogs 1959-60 conference co-championship team and the 1960-61 conference and district championship team which advanced to the NAIA national tournament.

Selvig also competed in track as a sprinter, javelin thrower and relays. He was a three-time conference javelin thrower and was selected to compete at the 1961 NAIA national meet. He was on the conference championship mile relay team as well. Selvig was a member of three straight conference and district track championship teams.

Selvig participated in many extra-curricular activities on campus including M-Club. He was chosen to Who’s Who after his junior and senior years.
