Bud Shuman, a native of Wolf Point, Mont., is a 1961 graduate of Western Montana College (WMC) with a Bachelor of Science in secondary education.

Shuman, a four-year football letterman, was a dual threat lineman for the Bulldogs. He anchored the offensive line at center and was a run-stopper on defense at tackle.

Shuman was a two time first team all-conference selection and was a member of the 1961 and 1962 Montana Collegiate Conference champions.

He was very active on campus in M-Club, Gargoyles, Rodeo Club (vice-president) and intramural sports. He competed for the WMC Rodeo Club in bronc riding.

Shuman had the distinction of winning a prize for the bushiest beard and as the best dressed cowboy in the 1963 Go-Western festivities.
