Corey Bolton, a native of Butte, Mont., is a 1995 graduate of Western Montana College (WMC) with a Bachelor of Science in secondary education. He later earned a Masters Degree in hospital and health care facilities administration and management from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota.

Bolton competed in both football and wrestling earning All-American honors in both. In football, he earned all-conference, all-district and NAIA All-American honorable mention honors. 

In 1990, he was named the Frontier Conference Offensive Most Valuable Player. He set single season school records in most touchdowns scored (29), most yards gained rushing (986) and most rushing attempts (180). 

As a Bulldog wrestler, Bolton earned NAIA All-American honors in 1993 (third place) and 1994 (seventh place). The Bulldogs tied Southern Oregon for the team title in 1994 for WMC’s first ever team national championship. 

After graduation, Bolton taught English and coached football and wrestling at Burley, Idaho and Butte, Montana. At Butte, he coached Butte High to the 2000 Class AA wrestling title. 

Bolton left education for the private medical sector. He currently (2024) is the medical protection system coordinator for the Medical Task Force of Shelby, Miss.
