Kelly Carras Krank earned her bachelor’s
degree in English with a minor in Special
Education from Montana Western in 2002.
Kelly was a member of the 1998 Bulldog
team that qualified for the regional
tournament for the first time in Montana
Western’s history.
She played volleyball from 1998-2000 and
was an All-Conference selection in 1998,
1999 and 2000. She was voted her team’s
Most Inspirational Player in 1998 and 1999
and Most Valuable Player in 2000. Kelly’s
most memorable moments at Montana
Western were coming for her visit prior
to signing a letter of intent and how this
was the first team in her collegiate career
that worked from the moment they
stepped on the court together. The team
and the coaches were a great match.
Coach Jenny Peterson stated, “Kelly was
a tremendous, positive leader. She was
so enthusiastic about her game and made
everyone around her bring their game
to another level.”
After college, Kelly taught and coached for
eight years prior to becoming a stay-athome
mom. She and her husband, Tom
Krank, are the parents of two children, Nora,4 and Selvin, 11 months.
