Mike McQuirk, a native of Great Falls, Mont., is a 1962 graduate of Western Montana College (WMC) with a Bachelor of Science in secondary education.

McQuirk was a three-year basketball letterman for the Bulldogs and  a member of the 1960-61 conference championship team.

He led the team in rebounding for three seasons and was a three-time team all-conference selection; two as a first team selection and one as an honorable mention selection.

McQuirk was a member of two WMC championship teams. The Bulldogs shared the title with Rocky after the 59-60 season and won the championship outright the following year.

He was also a part of Western basketball history. McQuirk and the Bulldogs outscored Northern Montana College 102-92 in the final regular season game of the 61-62 season. The victory was head coach Bill Straugh’s 300th career win as skipper of the Bulldogs.
